The Menno Knight Putting the Fist Back in Pacifist

14Feb/107

All your house are belong to us…

The house hunting ceases in short order. We took along our bestest relatives and hit up our top choices from yesterday. We actually took in a couple new houses as well. We got talked out of the renovation project, unsurprisingly. We also got talked out of the second big house on Chelsea's list. It just wasn't meant to be. At the end of the day we decided we  would try to put an offer on the house on Elderberry. A small house in a nice neighborhood.

As we drove home we were discussing this fact with the realtor and she decided to get the seller's agent on the phone to get the scoop. She found out that there was another offer in the works that evening! So she recommended that we should put together our own offer. So off we went to put that together. A few hours later and we sent the offer off. And then we sat and waited. After a few hours and some back and forth with our realtor, the offer was accepted. I repeat, the offer was accepted. That means we have a house...

Are we adults now?

Anyways, here are a few photos for you to enjoy. ENJOY THEM!

  1. Congrats!!! I am so excited that your hunt seemed to go so smoothly and so painlessly. I hope to see it soon.

    • It is exciting. We close near the end of April. We’ll probably have a house warming party at some point. We’ll probably combine it with a Rock Band party as well. Because that’s how we roll.

      • Will you be moving pre or post baby? I know you have plenty of hands in North Carolina, but if you need help moving, let me know. I consider that a fair trade for participation in a rock band party.

        • We have all the time in the world to move. The lease on our townhome isn’t up until August and we don’t foresee getting out of that early. So, we’ve got between April and August to move everything. It will probably be a gradual process.

          • Someone set us up the bomb!

I just now really read the title of this blog post. Sorry I scanned it the first time. Glad to hear the moving process won’t be a hectic rush – I hate that. I’ll just have to think of another reason for me to visit, and will maybe move a lamp or something to say I helped.

  2. I am so excited for you guys!!!!
    Congratulations!
And, your new home is ALL kinds of beautiful! I love it!
Was that enough exclamation marks for you?
    XOXO

  3. Cool. cool. COOL.
Very happy for you both (All three! More if we count critters!)
    Just yay. That’s all.
    Much love all ’round,
    Bryan
